An arrest warrant has been issued for a Guymon man on allegations of assault and battery with intent to kill, robbery by force and fear, and kidnapping after an incident was reported by a male victim on Feb. 12.
According to the affidavit for warrant of arrest filed with the Texas County Courthouse, officers with the Guymon Police Department responded to a call for an ambulance run responding to a victim with head injury and lacerations. Upon arriving, officers met with an adult male victim sitting at the front porch of the residence with a towel wrapped around his head. Shortly after, medical first responders arrived, began treatment of the victim and transported him to Memorial Hospital of Texas County.
Officers also went to the hospital to speak with the victim. According to the victim's statement, he had arrived at a residence on N. East St. in Guymon to pick up a cake. Upon entering the residence, 30-year-old Raul Silva allegedly attacked him and started hitting him with a hammer. Silva allegedly took the victim to the bathroom and continued the attack while the victim was in the bathtub.
At that point, the woman identified as Silva's girlfriend in court documents, Marlene Martinez, told Silva to stop hitting the victim. Silva then allegedly dragged the victim out to his vehicle and told him to get in. The victim then ran away from Silva and fled to his brother's home.
In a follow-up interview, the victim stated Silva cussed at him and allegedly threatened to kill him. During the alleged attack, the victim stated Silva demanded money, taking the victim's cell phone and $130 in cash. Silva then allegedly demanded $1,000 for the victim's release, then $5,000. The victim informed officers he believed he had been hit with the hammer at least 30 times, and had also been kicked, hit and kneed.
Officers observed the victim's injuries, including facial fractures, lacerations and visible swelling.
Officers secured the residence where the attack took place after finding both Silva and Martinez not present at the location. Large amounts of blood was found in the living room, hallway and bathroom.
Officers determined Martinez had called into work to state she would not be in and that her car would not start. The vehicle in question was not found at the residence. An attempt to call Martinez's phone ended with no answer. Officers had Martinez entered as missing and endangered under the belief that Silva may have kidnapped her.
The Guymon Police Department also requested the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. OSBI agents collected evidence and photos from the residence.
At this time, law enforcement has not been able to locate Silva or Martinez. The affidavit states the last contact with Martinez was a message to a friend in which she stated she was not okay, along with a photo of herself with a black eye and ruptured blood vessels in her right eye.
Law enforcement continues to search for both Silva and Martinez. Silva currently faces charges of aggravated assault and battery with intent to kill, robbery by force or fear and kidnapping.
