Guymon Fire Department participate in Honor Walk

New firefighters coming to the end of their Firefighter 1 academy training take an approximately three mile walk in full bunker gear from Guymon Fire Department Station 1 to the training grounds on the south side of town. Called the 'Walk of Honor', the academy graduates engaged in live burn at the training grounds at the end of the walk. Chief Dean McFadden says the community made a supportive showing throughout the walk. Some of those taking part in this walk dedicated it to an assistant fire chief from Midwest City who is no longer able to walk. (Staff photos/April Coble)
