The Guymon Daily Herald would like to recognize students displaying notable achievement in academics every week, celebrating the accomplishments of those who take advantage of the quality education offered to them through schools in the area. We will begin with Guymon Central Junior High School, and hope to engage more schools in Texas County throughout the year to bring the faces and achievements of our area youth.
Students can be submitted to the Guymon Daily Herald by educators for recognition at any time, and there is no limit to the number of students who can be recognized. If your nominated student doesn’t find their name on the front page right away, don’t worry! We will continue to recognize Texas County’s wonderful young people weekly, even through holidays and summer break.
This week’s academic student of the week is Guymon Central Junior High School eighth grader Eh Do, who lives with his mother, Naw Pearl Say.
To read more about Do and his ambitions as a student, read the Tuesday, Feb. 26 edition of the Guymon Daily Herald.
We hope to continue working with educators to find students who make the face of the Texas County community. If you have students you feel are worthy of recognition in this weekly feature, please contact April Coble at (580)338-3355 or gdhreporter@gmail.com for more information.
Congratulations Eh Do, on being our academic student of the week!
