The City of Guymon and Guymon Fire Department is having an aerial show at 9:45 p.m. on Independence Day. Patriotic music will be choreographed on 92.7 on the local radio dial. People can watch the show at the Thompson Park and the Texas County Fairgrounds.
Hooker Chamber of Commerce is hosting it's annual Chamber Fireworks Display about 9 p.m. at dusk on Sunday at the Hooker Municipal Golf Course. The firework display is regularly held on July Fourth, but the Commerce decided to celebrate a day early. On Monday, Hooker's Chamber of Commerce is hosting it's annual 4th of July Hotdog Feed at noon at Hooker Municipal Park. Other than hotdogs, vendors and entertainment will be at the celebration. A boy scout troop will also celebrate Monday with a flag retirement ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Anyone who has flags who needs to take them out of service can call (580) 651-9441 for more information.
Texhoma is kicking off Independence Day with a softball tournament on Monday morning. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., the pool will be open for a free swim. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the celebration will continue with games, a hotdog feed, sorority special and music by Melinda McGlasson. As the sun goes down, Texhom Chamber will have a Fireworks Tailgating Party at the Main Street Park. For more information, call (580) 423-1010.
