Winter Wonderland is the theme for the 2018 Main Street Guymon Awards Evening. Each year at this time the Main Street Guymon Board of Directors honors the volunteers and businesses that support Main Street and the community.

Volunteers being recognized include the board, Main Street Transformers and their mentors, Main Street Vital Volunteers, Career Focus graduates, Entrepreneur of the Month winners, Cassie’s Kids, Community Kudos winners, Aggie Families, Lunch Mob, and Cash Mob.

There are 16 businesses or programs receiving awards and the 2018 Crowning Achievement for Main Street Guymon and the Board Member of the Year will be named.

Three members of the Board of Directors have terms ending. They are Chairman Soila Medina of the Bank of the Panhandle, JuliAnn Graham from TCEC, and Elgie Davis. On the slate of nominations for members to vote on that evening for the board is Amber Costilla with PCHC, Incumbent JuliAnn Graham of TCEC, Norma Green from PTCI, and Donna Riffel with Oklahoma Workforce. Nominations are also open from the floor.

The evening meal is catered by Main Street member Virgil Gibson and the Master of Ceremonies is Main Street member Rick Roberts. Tickets are $25 each and can be obtained at the Main Street Guymon office or at the door. The event starts at 6 pm on Feb. 20 and ends at 7:30 pm and takes place in the RC Party Room at 5th and Main.
