An alcohol-related single-vehicle wreck left a woman with critical injuries Wednesday afternoon west of Goodwell, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
OHP said the driver, Tracy D’Ann Gore, 49, of Texhoma, was flown to an Amarillo hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal and leg injuries.
About 1:40 p.m., Gore was traveling east in a 2012 Ford Mustang on U.S. Highway 54. The Mustang crossed the center median, traveled across the westbound lanes of traffic and then crossed over the railroad tracks. The Mustang then came to a rest approximately 60 feet north of the railroad tracks in a field.
Gore was transported by Guymon EMS to the Guymon airport and then flown to Amarillo for her injuries. Troopers reported that the condition of the driver and the cause of the collision was driving under intoxication.
