An 18-month-old Guymon boy was listed in critical condition Sunday after being ejected in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Saturday evening near Guymon.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the boy was transported by Apollo Med Flight with head, internal and external, and leg and arm injuries. The others involved in the wreck were treated and released for injuries.
Less than a mile north of Guymon around 7:35 p.m., a 2000 Ford Excursion driven by Max Duane Crocker, 56, of Guymon was traveling north on U.S. 64. About that time, a westbound 2002 Honda Odyssey driven by Pleh Paw, 18, of Guymon was traveling on County Road T, where she failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the Ford.
The boy was not equipped with a child restraint and was ejected from the Honda without a known distance from point of impact, OHP said. The others involved in the wreck were wearing seat belts.
A 3-year-old girl from Guymon, one of the passengers, was transported to Guymon EMS to Texas County Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Another passenger, Kyet Po, 42, of Guymon was also transported to TCMH and was later treated and released.
Paw was transported by Life Star Med Flight to Lubbock Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, where she was treated and released, OHP said. Crocker was treated and released at the scene of the wreck.
OHP investigated the wreck, and Texas County Sheriff’s Department and Guymon Police Department assisted.
