While plan A for Memorial Hospital of Texas County was turned down by voters in a vote on a one percent sales tax failed, other courses of action were being considered and explored, with reports requested to move forward in that direction.
Some of the work being done includes moving forward with the 340B prescription drug program, looking into whether converting the hospital into a critical access care facility will be profitable, and continuing toward restarting the swing bed program.
